Servitude

Adult Servals are superb hunters. Their perceptive dish shaped ears help them in detecting prey. Servals have long stilt like legs for moving through the long savannah grasses where they like to hunt. These long front legs also make it easy for Servals to flush out seed eating birds and snag them mid air. Servals are beautiful cats that appear to have a graceful yet stilt-like gait. They are usually found quite close to a reliable water source. Unlike many cats, they don’t seem to mind water. This particular painting was done in memory of Killian and all other cats that have touched our hearts. - Kim Diment
